Top St Martins Graduates:
No 1. Louise Markey
Louise Markey already had a Bachelor degree in Fashion from the University of Technology, Sydney and a job as a women's shirt designer for Burberry under her belt before she completed an MA in womenswear at CSM. However St Martins certainly helped this Aussi on her way to recognition.
In February of this year Markey showcased her final college collection in the CSM section of London fashion week and launched her first capsule range; The Basics Collection, which focuses on the white shirt and ranges from the basic to the abstract.
She describes her catwalk collection as colourful, minimal and geometric, with attention to volume and finish, and credits historical silhouettes, folk art and modernism as her inspirations.
Her attention to colour, material and shape sets this CSM graduate apart and is definitely one to watch.
